Casting couch Tollywood whistleblower Shreshta

Casting couch saga in Tollywood continues as new victim/whistle blower  ” Lyric writer Shrestha” made some sensational comments on her initial struggles in getting opportunities in which she was provoked by some females to sleep with the producers and directors of the projects. Shreshta a young lyric writer ( probably the first female lyric writer in the modern times of Telugu cinema) who shot to lime light with the popular albums of movies ” Pelli choopulu” and ” Arjun reddy ” has bagged multiple offers in the recent times. In an interview , she revealed about how she was tried to exploit by different established personalities while offering the work in the industry. The most shocking thing about her statements was, she was lured by a female director to meet a young lad from the female industry.

The female writer who hails from Adilabad district of Telangana had to stay away from movies for a while because of these incidents and fortunately the director of Pellichoopulu had brought her back and the two block buster songs ” Merise Merise” and ” Chinuku thaake” had given her break but the  ” Madhuram” song from Arjun Reddy helped her grab more offers.

Considering her statements on a female director who forced her and stood as a broker and the movies she worked so far, one can observe that she worked with one female director in which ” Samantha” was the lead actress and ofcourse, Tollywood only has one female known director today.

The most shocking comments made by this lyric writer was that one of the producers of the movie directly asked to sleep with her husband.  This would embarrass the female activists who had been making huge noise ever since Sree Reddy incident that Male celebs exploit females in the industry. Well that might be partly true dear ladies, but you should accept the fact that there are women too who are part of this ugly process.
